History

Dear Jonah and Audrina,
Today will go down in history. The first African American President has been elected. It will be a question I'm sure that everyone will ask each other. Where were you when Obama was elected preident? I hold you in my arms while I watch the news and I have a sense of wonder and fear at the same time. This nation has come a long ways. In a time full of hate and anger and disaster there is a sense of hope...of change. I want what is best for both of ya'll and I hope it can start with a change. Will he live up to all our expectations probably not. Will he keep us safe from the terrorists of the world? I hope so. It is God's will and I hope and pray that it is God's will to turn this nation around. I haven't lost hope yet. Sometimes that's all that we have. I see the hard times people are going through. The hate and anger in everyone's eyes and it truly scares me. I hope he inspires people to change, to have hope themselves. I look at ya'll and I wonder what the future will hold. In 8 years (if he's reelected) ya'll will be 8 and 5. Old enough to see the world and the people in it and I pray that ya'll will not have to experience the hard times that I fear may eventually come. He stands for hope and change...will he bring it?

Love always and forever,

Mommy
